As we approach Thanksgiving, WCA will again reach out to thank our community's First Responders who have endured a very challenging year! As the flyer above explains, we are deferring our Virtual Town Meeting to the third Thursday, Nov. 18, and before that, small groups of board members will visit each of the nine First Responder organizations that have had our backs through thick and thin the past 12 months (and longer) including volunteer, County and PTA fire fighters, the entire staff at Queen's North Hawai'i Community Hospital and our Waimea police.
We will be delivering gift cards from local restaurants and grocery stores along with messages from Waimea students and community friends to let these unsung heroes know we appreciate their hard work and dedication.
Then, during the Nov. 18 Virtual Town Meeting, we will visit with representatives of each of the nine organizations and share photos taken during our visits.
