Thelma Parker Library 'Seeds of Knowledge' Summer Reading Program Celebration

SAVE THIS DATE to learn about the amazing people and organizations of Waimea at this end-of-summer reading challenge celebration! Free and all invited.

In keeping with the Hawaii State Public Library System's summer reading challenge theme, SEEDS OF KNOWLEDGE, community friends and neighbors will be on hand to share information about their work and lead a wide range of fun family-friendly activities.

There will be solar viewing, seed paper, water safety/ocean awareness, agriculture, cymbidium orchids, and watershed booths, emergency preparedness information plus a “Christmas In July” sneak peak at Waimea’s plans for the 2023 lighted parade come Dec. 2, along with plant and seed giveaways, chess, coloring, pressed flower bookmarks, UV light bead bracelets, free solar viewing glasses for the upcoming eclipses, and more!
