Mauna Kea Quilters, started in 1997, are a group of patchwork quilters who enjoy sharing our love of quilting with others.
Each year we donate many quilts to help raise money for worthwhile organizations in our area such as Mala’ai (The Culinary Garden of Waimea Middle School) and Relay for Life. We have provided quilts to the police/fire department and North Hawaii Community Hospital for those in need. At Christmas we make quilted stockings and quilts for needy children.
We welcome you to join us for our monthly meetings on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:30am to Noon in the meeting room of the Thelma Parker Memorial Library. We always have a business meeting, show and tell and we like to share new ideas and techniques.
