A fundraiser for the future Waikoloa Library and other Friends of the Library-Waikoloa Region ongoing literacy projects. Runners and walkers can pre-register online, or at the school from 6:15 to 7 a.m. on race day, for a 7:30 a.m. start. Medals awarded to top female and male competitors in 12 different categories, including strollers, and families are encouraged to participate together. Registration is $20 for adults (pre-register online), $30 race day, $10 for keiki 12 and under, including event t-shirt. Silent auction starts at 8 a.m. in Waikoloa School Cafeteria, with final bids at 11:30 a.m. Tickets for Waikoloa Sew’N’Sews original quilt drawing – available at the event or in advance from the WVA office, Golf Pro Shop, or any FL-WR member. Interactive Health Fair from 8:30 a.m to noon with multiple information booths, health screenings, and fun fitness and dance demonstrations for keiki and grownups.
