We also thank Waimea Community Association’s many partners who worked with Parade Co-Chairs Lani Olsen-Chong and Kalae Kawamura to bring together nearly 1,000 parade participants to celebrate a “Starlight Christmas”!

We also thank parade spectators who dug into their pockets to contribute to the Big Island Giving Tree Bucket Brigade!  In all, your dimes and quarters and dollars added up to more than $1,600 to help BIGT be sure no one is forgotten this holiday season, especially our kupuna!

We also especially thank Santa for stopping in, and the staff at North Hawai’i Community Hospital for creating a float for him – complete with nurses in red scrubs to give him a quick check up to be sure he will be in top shape throughout the busy holiday season!
